Das Internationale Schach-Tennis Masters 2024 findet vom 10. bis 12. August 2024 täglich von 9:00 bis 17:00 Uhr im WAC, dem Wiener Athletiksport Club in der Rustenschacherallee 9 in 1020 Wien statt.

The 2024 International Chess-Tennis Masters will take place from August 10 to 12, 2024, daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the WAC, the Vienna Athletic Sports Club at Rustenschacherallee 9 in 1020 Vienna.

Turnierablauf:
Am 10. und 12. August wird der Einzelbewerb stattfinden. Es werden jeweils ein Tiebreakturnier bis 10 Punkte und ein Schnellschachturnier mit 10 Minuten Bedenkzeit + 3 Sekunden pro Zug über 7 Runden durchgeführt. Beide Turniere werden nach dem Schweizer System gespielt. Dabei gilt folgendes Punktesystem: Sieg 1 Punkt und Remis 0,5 Punkt
Durch eine Gesamtwertung aus Tennis und Schach werden die jeweiligen Viertelfinalpaarungen ermittelt. Bei Punktgleichheit wird nach dem „Buchholzsystem“ entschieden. Ab dem Viertelfinale wird der Sieger im KO-System ermittelt. Die jeweiligen Gegner treten abwechselnd im Tennis und Schach gegeneinander an.
Im Einzelbewerb gibt es folgendes Preisgeld zu gewinnen:
1. Platz 400€
2. Platz 250€
3. Platz 100€
Sachpreise
Zusätzlich gibt es für den/die beste/n SpielerIn in den Kategorien U20 und +55 ebenfalls 100€ zu gewinnen (bei mindestens 5 TeilnehmerInnen), sowie 100€ für die beste Dame
Am Sonntag um 19:00 werden alle Spieler zu einem gemeinsamen Spielerabend eingeladen. Unter den TeilnehmerInnen, die bei der Players` Party anwesend sind, verlosen wir jeweils eine Woche Curacao für zwei Personen (3 x 2 Personen)
Am Montag den 12. August wird der Doppelbewerb stattfinden. Im Tennis wird Doppel bis 12 Punkte gespielt. Beim Schach treten die Paarungen in zwei getrennten Partien mit jeweils 7 Minuten + 3 Sekunden pro Zug Bedenkzeit gegeneinander an. Das Turnier wird nach dem Schweizer System gespielt. Dabei gilt folgendes Punktesystem: Sieg 1 Punkt und Remis 0,5 Punkt
Tournament Schedule:
The singles competition will be held on August 10 and 11. A tiebreak tournament to 10 points and a rapid chess tournament with 10 minutes + 3 seconds will be played over 7 rounds.
Both tournaments will be played according to the Swiss system. The following points system applies: win 1 point and draw 0.5 points.
The respective quarter-final pairings are determined by an overall ranking of tennis and chess. In the event of a tie, a decision will be made according to the „Buchholz system“. From the quarter-finals onwards, the winner is determined in a knockout system. The respective opponents will compete alternately in tennis and chess.
In the singles competition there is the following price money to be won:
1st place 400€
2nd place 250€
3rd place 100€

In addition, the best player in the categories U20 and +55 will also win 100€ (with at least 5 participants). Best female player: 100€
On Sunday at 19:00, all players are invited to a players‘ evening. Among the participants, we will raffle a week in Curacao for two persons (3 x two persons).
On Monday 12 August the doubles competition will take place. In tennis, doubles is played up to 12 points. In chess, the pairs will play each other in two separate games with 7 minutes + 3 seconds per move. The tournament will be played according to the Swiss system. The following points system applies: win 1 point and draw 0.5 points.
